Sausage Cheese Biscuits

I grew up eating these and they are so yummy!!! Very similar to sausage balls but mom always made them out into biscuits. In the pic above I had tried making them in mini muffin pans.

2 cups Bisquick
1 lb sausage scramble, cook then drain
1 cup shredded sharp or mild cheddar cheese
1/2 cup water

Mix gently, then pat into biscuits. Bake @ 350 for about 15 minutes.

*gasp* i have to tell you that my meemaw made those and we called them "cheese claws". and i don't brown the sausage first cause it will cook on it's own (and i'm all about skippin steps). and i use milk instead of water. but it bet they taste the same. oh, and they freeze wonderfully (uncooked.) make up a bunch before you have little miss.

Thanks for the recipe! I'm always looking for new ones, and the guys in this house love some sausage!! I'm going to make them this weekend!
OH. My. Word.
I was just about to say that Becky has a recipe like this called cheese claws when LOANDBEHOLD she commented herself right there! WOW!
I am going to have to try them both to compare. Yes, that will be my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
